Sharon MacGregor-Nazzaro (married since the last campaign) is running for re-election to the Roxbury BOE—bringing heart, grit, and firsthand experience to every decision she makes.
- Mother of two sons with special learning needs
- Advocate for inclusive education and family support
- Advocate on the state level for new communication methods for non-speaking special needs children
- Active board member on key committees
- Fights for transparency, opportunity, and academic excellence
- Master’s level work in Technology integration in the classroom
- 20 years of educational publishing experience with publishers like: Pearson Education, Houghton-Mifflin and Scholastic
- 10 years of experience in Medical Education and Technology
- 35 years of experience as a math illustrator for testing materials – providing artwork for algebra, geometry and trigonometry curriculum
Even while battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and recovering from major surgery, Sharon showed up—virtually attending board meetings from her hospital bed.
Her commitment is unwavering. “I will fight for your children and Roxbury’s educators with the same strength I’ve fought cancer.”
Sharon believes in Education Above All—and she’s ready to keep Roxbury moving forward, one student, one family, one future at a time.

Supported Special Needs Director reinstating SEPAC by attending each meeting, suggesting that we nominate a Board Liaison to communicate between SEPAC and the board.
Protected the taxpayers by voting for the superintendent's latest budget with kept the school tax levy low.
Voted to repeal policy 5756
Voted in favor of installing speed tables to enhance the safety in the RHS parking lot.
Voted in favor of closing schools on election day
Supported and approved the Aviation program
Committees served on: Community Relations, Education, Policy and Governance and Personnel.
Served on the search committee that for superintendent which recommended Dr. Santora
Voted in favor of live streaming BOE meetings
Voted NO to keeping books with sexually explicit content in general circulation, but rather compromised to place them behind the counter, requiring parental consent.
Voted to bring in a full-time SRO.
